Cancellations
In the event of a cancellation or a ‘no show' by the client Capital Adventures does not give refunds or offer an alternative date. Your insurance policy will cover cancellation costs if the reason for cancelling is covered by the policy (less an excess).
Your Health and Fitness
All persons taking part in sporting activities should be in good health and have a reasonable basic level of fitness. You must advise us in advance of any Special Needs or medical problem experienced by you, or any member of your party, that might affect that person or any other guest during the activities and/or stay. All candidates for water-based activities must be able to swim 50 metres. Capital Adventure Wales will not be able to offer activities to any client that is deemed to be under the influence of, or suffering from the effects of, drugs or alcohol. Capital Adventure Wales Ltd will not be able to offer a refund in any such circumstances
A STATEMENT REGARDING OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES AND RISK
We at Capital Adventure Wales assume that our clients understand that there is risk involved in the activities that we provide. High energy activities in natural environments such as the Brecon Beacons are constantly changing; wind, rain, wildlife and multi-tactile surfaces combine to produce an environment from which risk can never be totally eliminated.
The exhilaration and adventure of exploring such environments is what Capital Adventure Wales is all about. We seek to minimize and manage these risks by providing relevant equipment and experienced, qualified instructors. Our instructing staff are professionals who operate according to the guidelines set down for each activity by individual governing bodies and our own in-house safety procedures. They are supplied with up to the minute weather forecasts and trained in risk assessment. It is up to you to listen carefully to what they say, and act upon their instructions. We believe that ‘Adventure', in all its diverse forms, is an essential component of many people's lives.
EQUIPMENT
At Capital Adventure we will supply you the appropriate equipment for each activity for your personal safety. We pride ourselves in the quality of equipment that we provide and instructors will check that it is appropriately worn prior to the commencement of activities. Capital Adventure will expect clients to keep equipment on for the duration of the activity. Capital Adventure accept that with the nature of ‘outdoor activities' there will be wear and tear on equipment supplied to clients. Providing clients wear the equipment supplied loss of equipment should not arrive however, if clients do lose equipment or wilfully damage it, they will be charged for a new item of equipment plus an administrative charge of: £
Again the Company accepts that there will be wear and tear by groups that use the mini bus. However, as with safety equipment supplied the Company will charge for any wilful damage to the vehicle.
